Installation of Your Product
Within a few days of the order, we schedule first the installation of the slab foundation. Next, we apply for appropriate permits. Our technicians will notify MS One call if underground work is to be done. The electrician, the gas company and our delivery crew are all notified of the generator delivery date.
Our customer is notified of the proposed installation date. Your convenience is important to us! We work with your on scheduling for the date of electrical change out. This is important because power will be out at your home for approximately an 8 hour period. In most cases, we limit power outages to 6 hours. We work very closely with the Power Company and City Inspectors to limit your power down time.
The generator is delivered and secured to the slab. The electricians arrive and the service is connected. The transfer switch is installed along with the wiring to the generator. The fuel company technicians arrive to bury and install the fuel tank. The commissioning of the system is the next step.
The customer is required to be present at this time. All of the testing of the installation will be done at this time. The customer is trained on the operation of the generator, along with safety shutdowns, possible problems and solutions. The transfer switch is programmed and the automatic transfer is tested. The customer is given a demonstration of the automation operations. A power load is applied to the system automatically and the amperage ratings are recorded. The warranty paperwork is filled out and questions are answered.
